Decisions, Decisions

Life is essentially a cumulative heap of decisions. In infancy, decisions are made for you. You fight for the right to make your own decisions in adolescence. Sometimes in adulthood you wish you could go back to the time when decisions were made for you. Ultimately—since all decisions have consequences—as a parent you hope that the decisions your children make for themselves are safe, genuine, and fruitful. Conversely, indecisiveness also births consequences. The very act of not deciding oftentimes sends unclear, maybe even unwanted messages. The overriding fuel behind indecisiveness is fear. Fear gives way to indecisiveness, which can create murky waters—especially in interpersonal relationships. Therefore, making sound decisions from love—and NOT fear—each moment of each day is the positive driving force of life. So, from the moment you wake up to the moment you close your eyes to sleep, make your decisions count.
