100th Blog!

It all started with an idea that popped in my head one cold day in January. I didn’t even know what a blog was, but I felt compelled to figure it out (funny how that happens…). Within days I enlisted some technical support from my dear—and extremely patient—younger cousin, and after a great deal of work—BAM! My blog page was born.

The name? It as well just popped in my head. I did not want to apologize for what I wrote. I wanted something that reflected my personality (ya, I have a swearing habit, but it doesn’t often come out in my writing). Plus, I really dig the acronym!

I know I’ve told this short story before, but what I don’t think I mentioned was my awakened desire to write. It consumed me. My mind was truly never at rest. It was all I thought about. This writing experience has taken me on a journey I did not expect. It combined two of my loves—writing and photography. It’s allowed me to explore these two avenues in-depth, giving me the opportunity to play again. To be creative with my childhood passions—reimagined—is a welcomed return. I am not letting them go ever again! Who wants to grow up anyway?

This is where I want to stay and I thank each and every person who has subscribed—those who may be a causal reader—and all of you who have entered my life and have begun to walk this journey with me through my writing. I thank everyone who write words of encouragement and those that share their views on various topics. I also want to thank the strong silent type who read—reflect—and maybe have not built the courage just yet to let me know they are there. I want you to know that I see you, I feel you, and I silently thank you each time you read along.

These are my thoughts in my forties and I will not apologize for them. I hope you too can find your inner truth and reawaken your passions unapologetically.

So raise your glass with me (mine is non-alcoholic because I don’t like the taste of alcohol he! he! he!) and let’s cheers to hundreds and hundreds more life lessons, mistakes, stumbles, frustrations, joy and sorrow that we will share together through TAFF. I hope that you are entertained and can find the time to be introspective. Moreover, I hope you are inspired to change for the better—even in the smallest way—so you can be the best version of YOU!

Salute!
